Terms and Conditions

Gratis is a members-only platform that introduces hospitality venues to vetted content creators. Gratis is a trading name of Picante Marketing Management LLC, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Contact: hello@joingratis.co.

Gratis makes introductions. When a venue and a creator are matched, they arrange the visit and the content between themselves. Gratis is not a party to that arrangement, does not manage bookings, does not collect or host the content produced, and does not guarantee any outcome for either side.

Membership is by application and is curated. Applying does not create any right to membership. We review every application by hand and accept only creators who fit the network. We may not respond to every application. We may decline any application, and we may suspend or remove any member at any time, at our sole discretion, without notice and without giving a reason. Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred.

You must be 18 or over to apply. By submitting an application you confirm that you are 18 or over, that the information you provide is accurate and about you, and that the social accounts you list are yours.

Creators produce video content for venues in exchange for a comped experience (a meal, drinks, an event or similar), not a cash fee.

By signing up to Gratis you enter an agreement with us. When you accept an invitation to a venue, you are agreeing to provide the content in exchange for that comped experience. That is a binding commitment. It means you agree to attend as arranged (or give reasonable notice), be responsive in arranging the visit, produce the agreed content, and grant the venue the usage rights described at the point of the match.

The comped experience is only what is agreed at the match. You are responsible for anything you order or use beyond it, and for the conduct of any guest you bring.

If you attend and receive the experience but do not deliver the agreed content, you are in breach of this agreement. In addition to removal from Gratis, the venue may recover from you the retail value of what you received. Gratis is not a party to the arrangement between you and the venue, is not liable for it, and does not chase content on the venue's behalf. The venue may pursue you directly.

You attend at your own risk. Gratis is not responsible for the venue, the food or drink, or the experience itself.

No employment, agency, or partnership relationship is created between you and Gratis, or between you and any venue, by using the platform.

You are responsible for clearly labelling content as an advert or paid partnership where required (for example #ad), in line with ASA and CMA rules.

Content must meet the brief agreed at the match and must not be defamatory or disparaging about the venue. We or the venue may ask you to make reasonable amends, or to take content down.

If your content features other guests or members of staff, obtaining their consent is your responsibility.

Separately from the usage rights you grant a venue at the point of a match, you grant Gratis a licence to use content you share with us or create on or for our own channels. By sharing content with us, or by featuring in or contributing content to Gratis's own social media or website, you grant Gratis a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, edit, and display that content across our marketing, social media, and website. You confirm you have the rights to grant this.

We may suspend or remove members who fail to attend arranged visits, fail to deliver agreed content, misrepresent themselves or their audience, or behave in a way that harms venues, other members, or Gratis. This is in addition to our right under section 3 to remove any member at any time without giving a reason.

Gratis exists to make introductions. You agree not to use an introduction made through Gratis to arrange comped content with that venue outside the platform in a way designed to avoid these terms.

By applying you agree that we will contact you about your application and membership by email, and by WhatsApp where available. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

An accepted invitation is not guaranteed to proceed. A venue may change, withdraw, or cancel an offer, and Gratis is not liable to you if it does. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue the platform at any time, and we do not guarantee that it will always be available.

You are responsible for any tax due on the value of the experiences you receive.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, Gratis provides the platform "as is", is not liable for the acts or omissions of venues or creators, is not liable where a creator fails to deliver content to a venue, and our total liability to you in connection with the platform is limited to £100.

We may update these terms. The version you agreed to is recorded with your application. Material changes will be notified to members.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Non-exclusive means we may also bring proceedings in another jurisdiction where appropriate, including where a member is resident.
